Admissions (Lower School)
Thank you for your interest in the Community Lower School!
Applications are accepted throughout the school year. Enrollment is open to both private and public school students in New Jersey and New York.
The application process involves the Admissions Committee review of the applicant's psychological report, educational evaluation, Individualized Education Program, application form, and any additional diagnostic testing to determine how the child learns and where they fit in the educational continuum. A screening and tour is then conducted with the student to gain further information. Acceptance is not competitive. Students are selected on the basis of their ability to benefit from the Community School special education program.
